Appointments last between 50-60 minutes, generally around two thirds of this time will be 'hands-on' to leave enough time to discuss any issues that may arise during or inbetween the sessions. The fees are £45 per session.
48 hours notice is required when cancelling or postponing appointments, in which case Steve will be as flexible as possible to reschedule if so required. If appointments are cancelled or postponed with less than 48 hours notice before the session, the full fee will be payable. Rescheduling an appointment sooner rather than later gives a greater opportunity to find a more convenient time and allows someone else to make use of the time.
The number of sessions needed is unique for each individual. For some people this may be a few sessions, for others more time may be necessary. Below are some suggestions for guidance:
Weekly sessions: Six sessions on a weekly basis is a good start if there are specific issues to be worked with, particularly in more stressful or intense periods. After this initial period, the frequency can be reviewed to either continue or reduce to one of the suggestions below.
Ongoing sessions every 2 to 3 weeks: Some people find ongoing, regular sessions helpful in supporting their sense of health and wellbeing. Examples of where this may be beneficial are for people that are already familiar with craniosacral work; people that are looking for a body-oriented approach alongside their work with a psychotherapist/counsellor; people with established movement or meditation practices such as yoga or chi-gong.
Ad-hoc sessions: This option if popular for people that would like to try craniosacral therapy out of interest, or who have a good sense of wellbeing and simply enjoy the sessions.
